Battle for Syria: View from the Frontline
by grtv

War has been raging in Syria for a year and a half. An endless series of special operations, victories and retreats, a struggle between government forces and an armed opposition that takes place both with weapons on the ground and on the TV screen.

Even seemingly unimportant local battles are being discussed far abroad because the result of this war will impact not only the future of Syria. The situation here is splitting the world in half. This undoubtedly is another internal conflict with global consequences.

Our film crew has spent 2 months on the frontline with the soldiers of Syrian army and civilians trying to answer these hard questions:

Who is the Syrian army fighting?

What is the armed opposition fighting for?

And why are there so many interested parties in this conflict?

This film was made in field conditions to better tell the story of what's happening here.

This is very excellent documentary reporting. And what's going on with this FAS gang or militia, whatever they're called, of extreme terrorists is terrorism taken to extremes, and it isn't politically motivated, since the FAS are foreigners against whom neither the Syrian government nor any of the Syrian people have done anything. They refer to Allah being great, et cetera, and it's all lip-say. If Allah exists and is anything like the Christian God, then there's surely no way that he'd want to accept to have anything to do with anyone this criminal.

Also, one of the FAS guys says that what they're doing is an act of revenge. Revenge for what reason? They're foreigners and neither the Syrian government nor the Syrian people did any harm to these psychopathic foreigners who invaded a sovereign country to attack it. They understand revenge in an awfully backwards sense.

Thanks so much to all who contributed to making this film and all who made it available to English speakers. Could I suggest an English narration copy as well? I had no trouble with sight or speed, but can see how subtitles could be challenging for some others, equally interested in the truth of what is happening on the ground in Syria.

O filme revela o estatuto moral das elites americanas e européias que apoiam atentados terroristas contra civis e atacam um estado soberano. Necessário compartilhar.

Although I had some previous fragmented knowledge of facts there I couldn´t avoid feeling bitter, troubled & devastated by this courageous on the spot film.
The counterparts of Kathyn, MyLai and kosovo turning pale at the sight of this.
Now every viewer knows well of how far the Lords of war of the axis of evil washington-london-paris-Ryad can go to attain their financial geopolitical objectives..

YouTube is loaded with insurgent videos showing the fighting from their side. It's good to see the conflict from the perspective of the Syrian Army or at least a special unit of the Syrian military.
