par grtv
President Barack Obama has made a live televised address to Americans, marking the official end of combat operations in Iraq. He said the war is now a closed chapter, and praised the U.S. military for helping to give Iraq back to its people. Although combat soldiers have left the country, 50-thousand U.S. troops remain there to train local forces. In his speech, Obama reiterated his pledge for a full pull-out in a year's time.

Bob Marshall says:

The US got their oil and resources. Now have a new $700,000,000 US Embassy. Plenty of bases thoughout Iraq to protect the pipe line that Halliburtion has a contract to build. The leadership change that is loyal to Washington. Another conquest toward US Hegemony. This couldn't have been accomplished without the support of the American people. The corporate elite thanks you America.
